If you want to keep tabs on all your personal and business tax deadlines, contractors might like to download a handy PDF summary from our site.

The HMRC document provides a list of the key tax deadlines for small businesses for the current tax year (2009/10).

Although you have probably relinquished control of your PAYE, NIC and other HMRC forms to your contractor accountant (if you're a limited company contractor), or your umbrella company, ultimately you are responsible for delivering paperwork to the authorities before each deadline, and settling your tax liabilities within the prescribed period.

The download provides a monthly breakdown of tax deadlines such as the submission of Forms P14, P35, P46(Car), P60, P11D, where necessary, as well as details of self assessment deadlines.

Monthly and Quarterly repeat dates apply to PAYE and National Insurance (NICs).

Variable tax deadlines will also apply to Corporation Tax and VAT - if you're a limited company.
