Parasol umbrella company employee portal launched

Posted Mar 19, 2009

Parasol, a leading PAYE umbrella company has unveiled a new portal for its employees.

The new portal, 'My Parasol', has been created to minimise the amount of time and effort required by contractors to input information such as timesheets - it should also make it easier to reclaim contractor expenses.

Parasol's clients will be able to work out exactly how much they will get paid, and at what stage the invoicing process has reached. They will be able to receive CHAPS payments and control many other extra transactions.

The company says it is looking into developing a version of the site - which cost around £300,000 to develop - that can be downloaded to an iPhone or Blackberry, providing even more flexibility.

Rob Crossland, MD of the umbrella company, commented:

"As the UK's leading PAYE umbrella company we are keen to respond to the needs of our flexible employees. This investment in developing 'My Parasol' reflects our long term commitment to this end.

"At the same time, by using Parasol, contractors will be assured that their contracting career is completely legal. This equates to peace of mind - a very valuable commodity in the contracting world."
