PCG announces second freelance lecture to mark National Freelancers Day 2011

Posted Sep 21, 2011

PCG's second annual freelance lecture will take place on 23rd November, in the LSO St Luke's in London.

The lecture, which will take place on National Freelancers Day, will follow the themes of flexibility, capability, agility, and compatibility. The lecture aims to address key questions on flexible working, and workforce trends which affect both businesses and the freelance workforce.

Speakers

Following the success of last year's inaugural freelance lecture, Sue Lawley will once again host the event, which will feature presentations from a range of experts.

This year's speakers include Dr Karen Stephenson (corporate anthropologist and former Pentagon adviser), Kamal Ahmed (Business Editor of the Sunday Telegraph and financial commentator), Professor Andrew Burke (research expert on freelancing and founding Director of the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurial Performance and Economics at the Cranfield School of Management), and PCG's MD, John Brazier.

Iain McIlwee, one of the key event organisers, commented:

"The lecture provides a prestigious focal point and combined with the highly topical webcasts and great array of research to be launched, will make for a fitting celebration of freelancing.

"We have one call to action this year, visit the website and get involved. Every retweet, link and comment adds weight to the day."
