Contractor Umbrella receives Sunday Times award

One of the UK's IT Contractor umbrella companies has been included in the Sunday Times Top 100 List for sales growth.

Colchester-based Contractor Umbrella, which was formed in 2002, has seen its sales turnover increase from £2.1m in 2003 to £32.2m in 2006. As a result, it was ranked 14th in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 for sales growth.

Naturally, the vast majority of the turnover figure is actually contractor clients' income and nothing to do with profits, but the growth over the past three years is impressive.

Contractor Umbrella provides employment services to IT Contractors and freelancers and charges a flat fee rather than a percentage of its clients income.

Lisa Keeble, managing partner, said; "This award demonstrates clearly that it is possible to grow at extraordinary rates and to continue to provide incredible levels of customer satisfaction".
