Limited company contractors - how to update your company details

If you are a limited company contractor, you will need to inform Companies House if you change your personal or company address, company secretary, or your share capital.

Companies House is charged with maintaining details of all registered limited companies in the UK.

If any of the details of your original company formation change - you must tell Companies House.

In the 'old days', you had to manually fill in a variety of forms and use the postal system to communicate changes, but with the introduction of the WebFiling service, changes can be submitted rapidly online.

These are the forms you are most likely to need as a limited company contractor - you can submit them all online (or download a paper version if necessary.

AR01 - Annual Return (£15 charge)
AA01 - Change of accounting reference date
AA02 - Dormant Company Accounts
AD01 - Change of address of your registered office

AP03 - Appointment of Secretary
TM01 - Terminating appointment as Director
